Wasp Treatments
Wasps have narrow waists with smooth skin and bright yellow/black coloring which distinguishes them from the hairier and darker colored bees.
When you come across wasps or a nest, it is in your best interest to call us rather than attempting to exterminate the wasps yourself. By locating the nest, removing the wasps, and preventing a regrowth of population in or near your home, you can go into this summer knowing that you and your children aren’t going to experience any surprise stings.
Yellow Jackets
Yellow Jackets get their name from their black and yellow striped coating and are a type of wasp that builds their nests on the ground. Some of the most common places to find these nests are under porches, along sidewalks, and in shrubs. Although yellow jackets typically eat bugs, flies, and pests, they occasionally indulge their sweet tooth on our sugary snacks. This is why, especially during the summer, yellow jackets tend to swarm around our meals, picnics, and ice cream.
In their own habitat, yellow jackets play an important role in their ecosystem as they keep pest levels down and help pollinate flowers. When they become a problem and start to pester and sting, that is when we can come in to help eliminate an infestation. In order to do so, we will identify any nests and exterminate or relocate them as needed. We can then use our newest treatment methods to keep yellow jackets out for good as they learn to find a new home outside of yours.
